Do slimming vest work?

Iv been wondering if slimming vests will work? I know that they shouldn't be used as a alternative to a better healthier lifestyle, exercise and diet but whilst i do those kinda of things i guess the slimming vests will help me to boost my confidence and make me appear more lean and less fat. I'm gonna try a slimming vest and let you know how i get on... I will carry on exercising and eating right.. as slimming vests only create the illusion that you are slimmer than  you are by holding in all the fat for you.
